How do I choose the number of parts for carbonless paper?
Carbonless paper is commonly available in 2-ply, 3-ply and 4-ply options. Choose the ply count based on the number of copies needed: 2-ply for receipts and delivery confirmations, 3-ply for expense claims and account reconciliation, and 4-ply for circulation across multiple departments. More plies make the complete set thicker, so printer compatibility and binding requirements should be confirmed.
2
How do I distinguish between ECG, ultrasound and medical analyzer paper and choose the right type?
ECG recording paper has standard grids and black positioning marks, with widths matched to the device model. Ultrasound thermal paper requires fine grayscale detail and clear images. Analyzer paper, including hematology analyzer paper and spirometer paper, follows device size specifications. Share your equipment model and application, and we will help you choose the right paper.
3
How do I choose between standard and three-proof thermal labels? When are three-proof labels necessary?
Regular labels suit normal-temperature, dry indoor settings. For harsh conditions—freezing, humidity, oil, outdoor exposure—three-proof labels are required. They offer water, oil and scratch resistance and withstand temperatures as low as −40°C, ideal for cold-chain logistics, chemical and outdoor equipment labeling.
4
How do I choose label material for cold-chain, humid or outdoor environments?
For cold-chain, humid or outdoor conditions, choose three-proof (waterproof, oil-proof, scratch-proof) labels with low-temperature or high-tack adhesive for firm adhesion; standard coated art paper labels tend to curl and lose adhesion in cold, damp settings. Please tell us your labeling conditions, and we will recommend suitable materials and adhesives.
5
How do I choose thermal paper by printer type and speed?
Share the printer brand, model and print speed. For high-speed printers, choose paper with even coating and smooth feeding to avoid jams. Different brands fit different widths, cores and coating sensitivities. We help confirm compatibility using our equipment compatibility chart and sample testing.
6
What paper weights are available for thermal paper, and what is each used for?
Common paper weights include 48, 55, 58, 60 and 70 gsm. 48–60 gsm is commonly used for supermarket, retail and restaurant receipts, while 70 gsm suits tickets requiring a thicker, stiffer feel. Medical recording paper should match the equipment specifications. For longer image retention, choose a long-life thermal grade rather than relying on GSM alone. Share your application and printer model, and we can recommend suitable paper.
7
What do 80 × 70 and 70g mean?
The meaning depends on the unit. 80 mm × 70 mm means an 80 mm roll width and a 70 mm roll diameter, while 80 mm × 70 m means an 80 mm roll width and 70 m of paper per roll. 70g usually means 70 gsm, or a paper weight of 70 g/m², rather than the total roll weight. Please include the units when requesting a quotation to avoid confusion.

What is your product range? I only know you sell receipt paper.
Kingcolor provides one-stop paper products: thermal receipt paper, medical recording paper (ECG, ultrasound, medical analyzer paper), carbonless security slips, three-proof low-temperature labels, self-adhesive labels, kraft paper and jumbo receipt rolls, covering banking, healthcare, retail, cold chain, manufacturing and entertainment industries.
9
Which countries and regions are your products suitable for export to?
Our BPA/BPS-free long-life thermal paper is best suited for high-compliance markets such as the EU, US and Middle East. Our -40℃ three-proof labels suit Nordic, North American cold chains and Southeast Asian fresh logistics. Our security slips suit banking systems in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. Product pages indicate recommended regions.
10
Where is the black mark on ECG paper? Does it meet medical equipment standards?
The black mark position depends on the device model and sensor location. We can customize it according to the equipment requirements and provide samples for on-machine testing. Relevant test reports can be provided for applicable products upon request.
11
I only know the intended use. How do I choose the right paper weight for kraft paper or labels?
Please tell us your application, such as packaging, paper bags, document filing or cold-chain labeling. We will recommend a suitable grammage (GSM). Packaging often requires stronger, heavier paper, while document filing typically calls for medium-weight paper with good stiffness. Choosing the right grade helps reduce waste.
12
What is the difference between 12mm and 25mm cores? Which devices are they compatible with?
The core size determines whether the paper fits properly into the printer. A 12mm small core is commonly used in medical and portable devices; a 25mm large core is used in regular devices such as retail cash registers and self-service kiosks. We confirm the core according to your machine model before ordering to avoid jams or fit issues.
